Restful Roots LLC was founded in Portland, Maine by Corinne Phelan and Tom Wolfe — partners in both life and gardening. What began with a well-loved truck, a solid set of tools, and a deep respect for native plants has grown into a thriving fine gardening company serving clients across Cumberland County.

Today, Restful Roots is powered by a dedicated team of skilled gardeners who share Corinne and Tom’s commitment to ecological horticulture and thoughtful care. Both founders are graduates of the Certificate in Native Plants and Ecological Horticulture program at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, and they continue to lead with a spirit of learning, collaboration, and respect for Maine’s unique landscape.

Whether restoring habitat, removing invasives, or tending long-standing gardens, the Restful Roots team brings reliability, attention to detail, and a genuine love for the work. We believe beautiful gardens can also be ecologically meaningful — and we’re proud to help create and sustain them.
